Paul S. Hobaica founded Hobaica’s Refrigeration in 1952 in Phoenix, Arizona.  He was the son of immigrants from Syria, Lebanon.  He came to Phoenix at 6 months old, graduated for St. Mary’s Grade School and High School while selling newspapers downtown.  At 18 he joined the Army and fought in World War II.  After the war he took classes under the GI bill in refrigeration and business at Phoenix College.  He had purchased some apartments and managed them while working a regular job.

Hobaica’s began as a one-man operation out of his home.  Paul serviced the refrigeration needs of local small businesses and residences.  His business grew and he expanded his clientele.  He built a shop in 1959 in what was at that time county property outside of the city limits.  The business still resides at this address having undergone several expansions over the years.  This facility incorporated a sheetmetal shop for ductwork fabrication.  As Paul’s company grew, so did his family.  When all was said and done he had seven children who all worked in the company at one point or another.  In 1990, two of his sons, Louis and Paul J., purchased the business from their father.  The new corporation, Hobaica’s Refrigeration Co., Inc., continued to serve the air conditioning comfort needs of both residential and commercial customers as well as commercial refrigeration in the valley.  In 2001 brother Mike joined the partnership and added a new dimension to the company growth. In 2006 the name was officially changed to Hobaica Services Inc. to better encompas our many services.

Hobaica Services Inc. is a continually expanding and thriving Arizona business.  Hobaica Services Inc. boasts a proud family tradition to the customer’s satisfaction and excellence while always maintaining the highest standards of business ethics.  The customer base of Hobaica Services Inc. includes devoted people who have remained loyal for more than 40 years along with their children, family members, friends, and acquaintances.  Units that were installed by Hobaica’s Refrigeration 20 years ago, and longer, are now being replaced with new higher efficiency units, thus continuing that tradition.  Our loyal, long-time customers are our pride.
