April 2024 Review: Binh came out today for the annual inspection and maintenance of the HVAC system Hobaica installed in 2021 (see review below) that is required to continue my "No Worry Warranty." I don't love this requirement (although I do understand the necessity for it) but at least it means I get to see Binh once a year. It says a lot about Hobaica that their employee retention rate is excellent enough that I get to see the same people over the years. Binh is great at his job as a technician but also went the extra mile in customer service today to remind me of all of the benefits and features of my warranty and service plan so that I might feel better about what it takes to maintain them. He didn't need to do that, but he did, and it was helpful. Thank you, Binh!April 2021 Review: Google won't let me write more than one review for a company, so I am left with the only option of editing/updating a previous review. I feel compelled to do that because my most recent experience with Hobaica was, again, exceptional. Since it is an inevitability of home ownership that mechanical systems will fail and cause stress, it is at least a 'silver lining' that it means I get to work with stellar and exemplary professionals, people with whom it is not only a pleasure to work but also to have in my home.Jared Jensen (our Comfort Expert for this transaction) was reassuring and competent, making sure that we truly understood the issues with our system and options for moving forward. He was very patient with our (probably tedious and eccentric) questions and even in the middle of 'busy season' and his birthday, made extra calls to Lennox tech support to give us good answers.We felt really fortunate to have Ivan as the first Installation Expert 'on scene' for the installation of our new HVAC system. Although we were comfortable with the decisions we had made about the system itself, we were nervous about the install. The obvious pride that Ivan takes in his work conveys an immediate impression of competence that he definitely delivers upon. Before Ivan started any work, he answered our questions, listened to our concerns (and allayed them), and set appropriate expectations for us regarding the installation process. We were completely put at ease about the install from our first interaction with Ivan. He truly went out of his way to make sure we were completely satisfied with the install experience when it was finished.Troy was the second Installation Expert on our team. Serving as 'the man on the ground' while Ivan was in the attic, Troy was very approachable and friendly. He was meticulous about the thermostat install and we appreciated that when he encountered a non-standard component of our home system, he openly acknowledged the challenge and got appropriate support rather than faking it or ignoring it which, frankly, would have been easy to do without us knowing the difference. This kind of ethical behavior is just one of the many reasons we choose to work with Hobaica versus any other HVAC company and we truly appreciated Troy and the team 'walking the walk' of Hobaica's well-publicized value system.Yes, this reads more like a thank-you letter than a review, but professionals who perform at this level of competence, pride of workmanship, and commitment to customer service definitely inspire acknowledgment and sincere appreciation. If you are in the market for the services Hobaica offers, stop reading reviews and just call them already.2020 Review: Simon came to the home I recently purchased to assess and inspect my HVAC system, perform system maintenance, and inspect my water system.I received a timely report via email after the appointment highlighting all of the issues discussed and providing quotes.Simon was knowledgeable, competent, and very personable. I ask a LOT of questions and he was very accommodating in answering them.I would not hesitate to recommend Hobaica.

I have used Hobaica for 25 years and have never been disappointed with the quality of their service, the honesty, politeness, knowledge and efficiency of their technicians. Arron went above and beyond to keep the install of the water softener and repair of our water bib. He was friendly, kept us informed up front of what he was doing and the noise level. Will ask specifically for him when needing more plumbing repairs.
