In Mesa Arizona, performing an HVAC inspection on an electric pack train unit. I recorded indoor temperatures, indoor blower motor amp draw, capacitors for motors, compressor amp draw, outdoor fan motor amp draw. Refrigerant pressures , check drain pan and drain line, tightened all electrical connections. Perform Hobaica special tune up
- Thermostat switched to ON: On this setting, the blower is running constantly, even when the system isn’t cooling. The system should be set to AUTO instead.
- Dirty air filter: A dirty filter will impede airflow.
- Dirty outdoor unit: When the outdoor unit is covered in leaves or debris, it can’t properly disperse the heat from your house. You will need to gently clean the debris off so as to not damage the fragile condenser fins.
- Tripped circuit breaker: If the outdoor breaker has tripped, the indoor unit will keep running with no cool air. Switch the breaker on, but if it trips again, you should call a technician to check why it keeps breaking.
- Refrigerant leak: Refrigerant absorbs heat from your house. If there is a leak, the heat will remain. Only a licensed technician can handle refrigerant.
- Faulty compressor: As the core of the AC, if the compressor is broken, your home will not be cooled.
